14-Week Psychiatric Service Dog Training Program

A psychiatric service dog (PSD) is a dog trained to assist their handlers who experience depressive episodes, anxiety, PTSD attacks, and other psychological disorders / illnesses. More about psychiatric service dogs and their jobs can be found here.

P.A.W.S. University offers this program to jumpstart your dog's journey to becoming a confident and supportive psychiatric service dog!

It is recommended to take P.A.W.S. University's Adult Classes before enrolling in the PSD Program to cover basic commands.

Please keep in mind that training a service dog takes months, if not, years of experience, time, and practice. This program is meant to start training your dog for the basics of service dog work and introduce them to public access work.
